I still don´t have any pictures posted, although I´ve taken a lot. My camera is now talking to my computer, but the USB flash drive isn´t working at the internet cafe, and my language skills aren´t good enough to mess with someone else´s computer. I´ll have to go to Angela´s office to do it or take Dante with me to the internet cafe. For my journals, my pocket pc and my computer aren´t having a good relationship at the moment. I have to move the journals to the laptop to get them to the USB drive, because the pocket PC isn´t talking to anything else. I just found the HP CD to install Active Sync and Lisa sent me the wireless connection codes from my computer at home. If anyone has any suggestions about how to get my bluetooth working, I´d appreciate any suggestions! Actually, I´d like some kind of cable from the pocket pc to a flash drive, but I´m not sure if they make something like that. Scott sent me a joke last week that suggested as a fix for any problem, "Just eat chocolate!"
That brings me to my second cultural issue. This family doesn´t eat sweets - at least the adults here don´t - the kids like any sweets I want to make though. Angela told me that she grew up in a family where there were all kind of sweets all the time and she got sick of them. Edmo prefers salty snacks. I made brownies a couple days ago, and today I went to the grocery store and bought the ingredients for every chocolate dessert you can imagine. I told the family that I´d make dinner any time, with the condition that there will be a dessert to match. I have ingredients for pie, german chocolate cake, brownies and candy. I´ll make all of these things for Christmas!
We´re going out to the country house again for a few days, so I won´t have a chance to post anything for awhile.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. If you´re in my neighborhood, stop in and give Maggie a hug for me!
